Practical guide for the cleaning trade Coronavirus (SARS CoV2)
Practical guide for the cleaning trade Coronavirus (SARS CoV2)
The trade association for the construction industry (BG BAU) has published a SARS-CoV-2 occupational safety standard for building cleaners and thus implemented the general occupational safety concept for the coronavirus epidemic of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS).
Companies that orient themselves towards this can assume that they are complying with the legal requirements.
The implementation of the SARS-CoV-2 occupational safety standard for the cleaning industry defines protective measures for building cleaners and provides information on how to organize cleaning.
The following guide is aimed at the employer or the person commissioned by him to implement protective measures. It summarizes time-limited additional measures to protect against infection from SARS-CoV-2 and lists important additional technical information and implementation aids from BG BAU in annexes.
The occupational safety organization affects various measures, including:
- create a concept of measures to implement necessary protective measures
- Ensure active communication in the company
- Agree on individual measures to protect risk groups
- Regulate handling of suspected cases of COVID-19 diseases
The safeguards include updates regarding:
- the operating site and the protective distances
- the organization of working hours and breaks
- hygiene
- the work equipment
- the storage and cleaning of work clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- mouth and nose protection and personal protective equipment (PPE)
